Communication power gains and losses

A link budget is an accounting of all of the power gains and losses that a communication signal experiences in a telecommunication system.

The calculator incorporates the equation PRX = PTX + GTX + GRX - LTX - LFS - LP - LRX, where GTX is the transmitter antenna gain, GRX is the receiver antenna gain, LTX is the transmitter loss, LFS is the free space loss, LP is the path loss, and LRX is the receiver loss.
